Creative Rome: meet the studio behind TAGS.
Experience a more personal side of Rome: visit TAGS, talk with the team and turn an idea into an accessory at the Patch Bar in the historic centre.

By TAGS Design Studio ·
Looking for authentic Rome can mean paying attention to the people and spaces you encounter as well as its monuments. TAGS Design Studio offers a simple way to do that: step into a studio, talk about an idea and try composing it on an accessory. You do not need a background in design. Your starting point might be something you noticed during the trip.
The TAGS guide
A conversation that takes shape.
Bring a question, not necessarily a plan
Start by asking how two colours might work together or which base would suit a gift. Explain how you will use the object and what you would like to remember. The team can help narrow down the options while leaving the final choice with you. It is a simple way to turn a visit into a conversation.
Watch how a composition changes
The same patch can feel different in the centre, near an edge or next to a letter. Try a few variations at a time and compare them. Part of the pleasure is paying attention: spending a few attempts on a decision you would not be able to make if you were choosing an already finished design.
Ask about the piece you choose
If an illustration interests you, ask the team about the subject and its designer. For materials and origins, refer to the individual product: composing something in Rome and manufacturing every component in Rome are different things. Questions help you understand the piece without assuming every item shares the same story.
Share your point of view
A place in the city can suggest different colours, shapes or words to each person. If you are visiting with someone, choose the same memory and try translating it into two compositions. It is not a competition: the differences reflect how you experienced the day. The studio gives that idea a form you can take away.
Plan your meeting with the studio
